Philip Sellwood

Philip Sellwood was Chief Executive of the Energy Saving Trust between 2003 and 2020. Prior to this, he had extensive commercial experience in the retail, food and private equity markets. He spent twenty years with Marks and Spencer. Philip has demonstrated a real commitment to the public sector: During the past twenty years he has undertaken work with BEIS, Defra, DfT at Westminster, and with significant parts of the Scottish and Welsh Governments. He has served as a ministerial advisor at the Home Office. Currently, Philip is a Board member of the LGA’s Innovation and Improvement body working closely with all tiers of local government. In addition, he is a Director on the Boards of the Renewable Energy Assurance Ltd, and is Senior Independent Director of the Tevva, a low carbon mobility business.
