Oliver manages the origination and the operations of the Mayor of London’s Energy Efficiency Fund (“MEEF”), an investment fund established by the GLA with funding from the European Commission, to help achieve London’s ambition of being a zero carbon city by 2030. Oliver has significant experience working on deals in the EV Charging sector, and was part of the MEEF team that signed a loan with Zenobe Energy to fund the charging infrastructure at an Abellio depot in London. Further, Oliver originates low carbon investments for Amber’s other capital sources. Prior to Amber, Oliver worked for the Carbon Trust working in both energy efficiency and renewables with clients such as the World Bank and the UK Foreign Office.
As investment in charge points grows, a crucial question for both investors and those purchasing infrastructure is when they become bankable assets, allowing businesses to obtain finance from banks. In this session we will look at the obstacles to charge points becoming bankable, as well as how charge points becoming bankable could accelerate rollout.
